Blueberries and More

IMAGE.JPG

Hood strawberries are gone, but blueberries are already here. This is early; blueberries usually begin after the 4th of July. This year’s crop is the heavies I have ever seen. Expect the season to last till late August. U-pick price $1.25 a pound. People, that’s a bargain!

The black

and pink currants are also ready to pick. Pink currants are delicious out of hand, black currants make absolutely superior jelly and can also be juiced for a winter tonic, as they are very nutritious and, unique among fruits, contain iron. Gooseberries are also available. Currants and gooseberries are $1:00 a pound u-pick.

Gone!

Another Hood strawberry season has come and gone. This was our shortest season ever, but was quite good while it lasted.

If you missed the Hoods, we will have more Seascape strawberries starting in August and lasting into October. Seascapes are DELICIOUS, second best to Hoods.

Hood Strawberries Are Now Here

Hood strawberries are now available in our store. Hoods are the sweetest, most flavorful strawberries available today and we have them. The season only lasts till early July, so don’t wait.

U-pick hood strawberries will begin this Thursday. The u-pick field will be open 8:00 to 7:00. What a sweet time of year.

We Are Open for the Season

this is how happy we are:

IMAGE.JPG

Our store is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 to 6:00 with our own strawberries and local produce. In a few weeks, we will have blueberries, raspberries, back berries, cherries, currants, and much, much more.

We also have nursery plants:

Perennials are plants that bloom year after year. Our perennials ad summer color to your yard, are very hardy, and are easy to grow.

We also feature roses:

We offer old roses like Blaze and Cecil Brunner, and modern English roses. All of our roses grow on their own roots which makes them hardier and perform better than grafted roses.

We we also offer local produce:

Pumpkin Patch and Autumn Fun

IMAGE.JPG

Pumpkins, we got fields full of em, big, medium, pie pumpkins, orange, white, and warted. Cornstalks, gourds, straw bales; we got em too.

IMAGE.JPG

We offer entertainment; a hay fort, indoor hay maze coloring station, animals and hay rides (when available and on weekends), and of course, our AWESOME corn maze.

IMAGE.JPG

Our corn maze is navigated by answering questions: at each branch in the path, there is a sign with questions; take the path you think is the right answer. It’s lots of fun and you might even learn a thing or two. Our theme this year is Ghosts

The castle at the end of the corn maze

We have apples galore, fall produce, strawberries, and, as always, the best baked goods, ice cream, and milkshakes. Time to eat!
